6Kotsuro Bronze Swords

Fourteen bronze swords found at the Kotsuro archeological site close to Keino Matsubara (Pine Grove), where numerous dotaku have also been discovered. Buried with many dotaku close to the coast overlooking the Harimanada Sea, these beautiful bronze swords evoke images of the Umi-no-tami engaged in Yayoi-period bronze-ware rituals. A stone monument now marks the archeological site.
