Koyadani Kofun Artifact – Sankakubuchi Shinjukyo
Koyadani Kofun Artifact – Sankakubuchi Shinjukyo
This is the only Sankakubuchi Shinjukyo discovered on Awaji Island. The bronze mirror symbolizes the authority of chieftains in the Kofun period.Mirrors created from the same template have been discovered in other prefectures including Kyoto and Nara. It is a valuable artifact pointing to the presence in these lands of a prominent chieftain with links to the sovereign in the Kofun period, when the Ama flourished.
