Nikkoji Dotaku
Nikkoji Dotaku
Dotaku discovered in Keino Village ( Matsuhokeino, Minamiawaji City), on the coast overlooking the Harimanada Sea. These artifacts evoke the participation of the Umi-no-tami in a new form of worship in the Yayoi period. Some of the dotaku are rare items with clappers (which hang inside the dotaku and make the sound when rung) characteristic of the Awaji Island dotaku.
